Entry Requirements

Other entry requirements apply to this programme these are: UK Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Dentistry and at least two years in clinical practice. Individual applications from Dental Care Professionals will be considered on an individual basis dependant on module specification. If English is not your first language you will also need to demonstrate English Language ability. Typically this is through IELTS (or similar) where a score of 7.0 (with no less than 6.5 in any single band) is required. Other suitable demonstrations of English language include GDC registration, UG degree taught and assessed in English, and registration with the regulatory body in an English speaking country; these will be considered on a case by case basis. You may be required to attend an interview and/or provide a portfolio of work.

MSc Admissions Criteria

Entrants must satisfy the following entry requirements:

  • Entrants must satisfy the following entry requirements: normally at least two years’ demonstrable postgraduate clinical experience in clinical practice as a qualified dental practitioner.
  • To be currently working in a clinical practice setting that gives sufficient access to the relevant area of clinical specialism
  • For the MSc in Clinical Aesthetic Non-Surgical Interventions, entry will also be open to doctors, NMC registered nurses (prescribing) and prescribing pharmacists.
  • Current registration with the UK General Dental Council (GDC) General Medical Council (GMC), Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) or equivalents in another country.
  •  
  • Evidence of appropriate professional liability insurance/Medico-legal indemnity insurance as may be required for the designated clinical setting at an appropriate level.
  • Access to clinical practice setting that gives sufficient exposure to the relevant area of clinical specialism.
